Chapel Street is flat out in January and we were no different. We launched our online store, welcomed new artist Marta to our team and started prepping for Rites of Passage in April.

Welcome to the team Marta! Marta has spent the last few years in Sydney, learning to tattoo and being a part of a busy studio. She specialises in colour realism and black and grey surrealism, however she is a confident all rounder. She’ll be working Wednesday-Saturday so give us a call or email us to book in!
Rites of Passage will be in late April this year and we’re starting to get pretty excited! 8 of our artists will be there for the three days and we’ll be taking a bunch of merch with us to, so come say hey! February:
It’s well known in the tattoo industry that February is plagued with cancellations and last minute reschedules, so we combatted Cancellation Feb with slinging out a whole bunch of designs up for grabs which you can check out on our artist’s Instagram pages! New artist Jake joins the team from the 18th of Feb! Jake has been tattooing for a number of years in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and specialises in fun colour Neo Traditional pieces. He’ll be with us Sun-Wed so book your free consult today!
March:
We’ve managed to cram so much into the last 4 weeks, getting ready for a busy month in April and preparing for Rites of Passage!
Nam had his first round of consults in early March, booking out few days and clearing out his waiting list. He is now booked until mid year, so if you’d like to be added to his new list please send us an email with your idea and any reference images you have, and we’ll be in touch shortly.
Guest artist Sulhong will be with us from the 7th until the 20th of March! Sulhong is huge in his home country of South Korea, specialising in colour neo trad and we’re super keen to have him alongside our artists. He will be taking consults on the 7th so enquire through the website or give us a call if you’re wanting to book in!
We’ve painted the front of the studio and hung up some of the artist’s paintings, and they’re for sale! If you’d like to grab some sweet art for your home swing by the studio any day between 11am-8pm and have a peek. If you have some work you’d consider hanging up at our studio please get in touch and we’ll definitely consider it!
Our booth is confirmed for Rites of Passage and the date is set! Nam, Hany, Tobias, Bucky, Mickey, Wiz, Jake and Marta will all be at Rites this year on the 26th– 28th of April! The studio will be closed over that weekend and all enquiries will be tended to on Monday the 29th. If you’re heading along to Rites come say hey!
